Embark on an enthralling two-day expedition with our Musandam Dibba Adventure Tour, revealing the hidden gems of the Musandam Peninsula, often lauded as the 'Norway of Arabia.' Day 1 unfolds with a picturesque drive from Dubai to Dibba, treating you to breathtaking views of the Hajar Mountains. The adventure commences with a hike to Dibba's secluded beach, followed by a tranquil speedboat ride to a cove beach embraced by majestic mountains. As the sun sets, we establish camp, savoring a delectable barbecue feast served on board. The evening is filled with camaraderie – playing card games and enjoying music beneath a star-studded sky.


Day 2 invites you to explore Dibba's Fjords, commencing with a breathtaking sunrise and a hearty breakfast. Embark on a traditional Dhow boat cruise along the picturesque Dibba coastline, offering opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, and an exhilarating banana boat ride in crystal-clear waters.


Venture into limestone caves, partake in thrilling water sports like kayaking, paddle-boarding, and additional banana boat rides, or opt for deep-water soloing for the adventurous souls (don't forget your climbing boots). A diverse buffet lunch is served in a picturesque setting as the dhow cruise anchors. As the day's adventures conclude, we return to Dubai, arriving around 7 pm.


Fun Facts:

a. The hike route follows a historic human trafficking path, marked by remnants of clothes, with the border established to thwart this endeavor to the United Arab Emirates.

b. Dibba comprises three regions: Dibba Musandam in Oman, Dibba Fujairah, and Dibba Sharjah.

c. Residents of Dibba Musandam share cultural similarities with Emirati people more than Omanis, having relatives in the UAE.

d. Seasonal migration in Dibba involves relocating to mountain farmhouses in winter for farm care and returning to villages in summer for palm maintenance and date harvesting.

e. Despite being part of Oman, Dibba Musandam residents must travel to the UAE before reaching Oman directly.

f. Villagers historically used the same hiking route for trading, collecting items from the city, and transporting them back to their villages.

g. Notable villages in the area include Haffa, our camp location, and Ziggy, home to the prestigious Six Senses Zighy Bay hotel.

  • VISA REQUIREMENTS:
    • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid visa or are eligible for a visa on arrival. Please visit https://evisa.rop.gov.om/ for the latest updates on visa requirements for Oman. The information provided below is for general guidance only and is subject to change:
      • Most nationalities (excluding certain African nationalities, Pakistani and a few other nationalities) holding a UAE work visa with more than 3 months of validity remaining and a passport valid for over 6 months can enter Oman visa-free or obtain a visa on arrival.
      • If you hold a dependent visa and your dependent meets the above criteria, you can also enter visa-free or obtain a visa on arrival, provided your dependent is traveling with you.
      • If you are in the UAE on a tourist visa, please check the visa requirements for both Oman and the UAE.
      • We do not provide refunds if you are denied entry to Oman for any reason, as entry and visa arrangements are outside our scope.
  • Important details if you are driving to Oman:
    • If you have a loan on your car, you will need to get a NOC from your bank/dealership to be able to cross the border to Oman. You will also need Oman insurance for your car which you can get at the border if you don’t have one.
    • You are not allowed to take a car that is not under your name unless you have a RTA permit.
  • Physical rating: Intermediate (Beginner level if you skip the hike and meet us directly on the boat, we have usually a few people who do this so you shouldn't be the only one)
  • Meeting point & time:

        • Any car can reach the meeting point and join the convoy. We will cross the border together, and after 5 minutes, there will be free parking where you can leave your car.
        • There is no need for a 4x4 vehicle. 
        • You don't need to have an Omani insurance/NOC/any of the usual border requirements in order to cross this special border.
  • Nature calls: Toilet will be available both on the boat and in the camping place
  • Not pet-friendly: This trip is not suitable for pets due to border crossings.
  • Disclaimer: In joining the hike, you confirm that you voluntarily, freely, and expressly chose to incur all risks associated with the the hike on your own responsibility. Hike leaders are not liable for any risks in the outdoors including exhaustion, bodily and personal injury or even death.

  • Mobile Coverage: Reception is weak or nonexistent in Dibba.

  • Tipping Information: If you would like to show your appreciation to your guide, you may bring cash in AED for tipping. Most guests tip around 50 AED per person for a great experience, though this is entirely at your discretion.

Itinerary

Day 1

Dibba’s hidden beach & cove - Road trip, hike, camping, bbq and games

12:00pm: We will leave Dubai and head on one of the most scenic drives of Arabia to Musandam, known as Norway of Arabia.

3:30pm: Meet at Dibba port with the ones taking their cars.


The speedboat will then transfer us from the hidden beach to a cove beach area surrounded by beautiful mountains.

In the cove beach area, we will camp and witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the region. The place is very peaceful and untouched as it is only reachable by a boat.

We will then have dinner, drinks, campfire games, music, have some grilled corn on the cob and camp under the clear skies full of stars.

Day 2

Dibba’s Fjords - Traditional Dhow cruise, kayaking, paddle board, banana boat & snorkeling

In the morning, we will enjoy magnificent sunrise views, followed by a hike to Dibba’s hidden beach. Once we are back, we will have breakfast and head on a full day traditional Dhow boat trip along the scenic Dibba coastline.


We will snorkel, swim and in the crystal clear water of Musandam that is full with abundant marine life and enjoy the most beautiful views of the Fjords while chilling with nice music on traditional Arabian carpets and cushions.

In addition to the scenic sail cruising by the fjords, there will be a limestone cave visit and watersports - kayaking, paddle board, banana boat.

A traditional buffet lunch will be served on the boat.

With the boat trip adventure coming an end, we will head back to Dubai.


7:00pm: Back to Dubai.
