Dolphin Tours in Khasab
A dhow cruise, mountains rising from the sea and the chance to spot wild dolphins: Khasab makes a memorable escape from the UAE. Here is what to expect from a dolphin-watching trip in Musandam, Oman.
When is the best time to visit Khasab
We recommend October to May for our Khasab trips, with the cooler months particularly comfortable for time on deck. May can be warmer, and sea conditions matter throughout the year. Choose a trip for the whole experience: scenery, swimming stops and time outdoors.

Are dolphin sightings guaranteed
Most probably! Unless the weather is stormy, the chance is extremely high to see Dolphins in Khasab.

How close do dolphins come
Dolphins like to swim along the dhow or surface nearby. You may also see fins further away. Keep your camera ready and let the dolphins choose their distance; even a brief sighting can be the moment everyone remembers.

Can you kayak during the trip
Yes. We provide two shared kayaks on our trips, with groups limited to 20 guests. They are a lovely way to explore the surroundings when conditions allow. Follow the guide’s instructions and give wildlife space while gently getting closer to watch them.

Are dolphins friendly and can you attract them
Dolphins can appear curious and playful, but they are still wild animals. Watch quietly without trying to attract, feed, touch or swim with them. A good encounter lets them carry on naturally.
What else is part of the experience
Our two-day Khasab trip combines dhow cruising with swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, meals and an overnight stay on board. There is time to enjoy the scenery between activities, making the journey part of the adventure.
Khasab is in Oman, so check travel documents and entry requirements for everyone in your group before booking. The trip page has the itinerary and transport options.
